To acquire this advantage, Zolon is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure & Solutions Engineer to support a federal IT operations and modernization program.The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in AWS and Azure, DevOps automation, and infrastructure design.This hybrid role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver reliable and scalable technical solutions.Candidates with prior experience supporting federal contracts are strongly preferred.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure in AWS and AzureAutomate provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)Evaluate and recommend appropriate database management systems to meet application requirementsDefine file organization, indexing methods, and data security strategiesSupport CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar toolsTroubleshoot system issues, monitor performance, and optimize infrastructure resourcesLeverage strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate cloud infrastructure tasks and streamline system operationsProduce and maintain technical documentation and standard operating proceduresEnsure compliance with Client security and operational standardsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field8+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years focused on cloud infrastructure and DevOpsHands-on experience with AWS and Azure services (compute, storage, networking, IAM)Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShellProficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deploymentsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on federal government contractsAWS or Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator)Familiarity with federal security standards such as FISMA, NIST 800-53, or FedRAMPExposure to container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
