Clinical Trial Participant Recruitment Project Manager

The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimers Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California, is an academic institute committed to advancing treatments for Alzheimer's disease through innovative clinical trials.

The Clinical Trial Participant Recruitment Project Manager will support clinical trial sites in recruitment and retention efforts for multi-site trials within the ATRI Recruitment, Engagement and Retention (RER) Section. The role requires excellent organization, dependability, and multitasking skills.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary recruitment and retention project manager for studies at ATRI, under the supervision of the RER operations manager and faculty lead.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing recruitment and retention efforts across multiple partners and teams.
  • Setting priorities and timelines for project implementation and closeout.
  • Acting as the main contact for recruitment and retention activities.
  • Developing and interpreting enrollment data and reports.
  • Maintaining outreach performance metrics.
  • Promoting inclusive recruitment, especially among underrepresented groups.
  • Communicating enrollment goals and activities to study sites.
  • Collaborating on the design of recruitment and educational materials.
  • Assisting sites in establishing community partnerships and outreach strategies.
  • Essential skills include:

  • Effective communication with diverse backgrounds.
  • Operational management of recruitment and retention components.
  • Leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Development of recruitment materials.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, and multitasking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Google Suite, REDCap, and similar tools.
  • Qualifications:

    • Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
    • Experience in clinical research, especially with diverse populations.
    • Certifications such as CCRA or CCRC are preferred.

    This is a hybrid position based in San Diego, requiring at least 3 days/week onsite. The annual salary ranges from $85,009 to $105,955, considering experience and qualifications.
