Recruiting a Clinical Risk Management Specialist – Care that Gives Hope

Rockland Psychiatric Center (RPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is looking to hire a Registered Nurse , to serve as a Clinical Risk Management Specialist (CRMS).

As a CRMS, you will be part of RPC's Risk Management Department whose primary responsibility is investigating incidents and implementing systemic changes with the intent of reducing the risk of future incidents, including

  • Conducting preliminary and special investigations as needed, interviewing staff and patients, gathering evidence, and interpreting findings in accordance with OMH regulations.
  • Responding to incidents during work hours and/or while on-call.
  • Acting as a resource to team leaders/program directors, identifying reportable incidents, and facilitating the completion of all unit investigations.
  • Completing data entry and retrieval in the New Incident Management Reporting System (NIMRS) and Justice Center database.
  • Attending facility-wide committee meetings as a representative of the Risk Management Department

In addition to RPC's inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services including clinics, mobile mental health teams, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams, and residential programs. Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse 1, Psychiatric

· NYS License and current registration to practice as a professional nurse.

Salary: $115,147 - $124,138

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse 2, Psychiatric

· NYS License and current registration to practice as a professional nurse and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder.

Salary: $123,173 - $133,121
