We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job Summary General Summary/Overview Statement:The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC I) works under general supervision to provide support to Cellular Immunotherapy Program Team (CIP). The position includes close collaboration with dedicated scientists and clinicians. This position requires clinical skills such as consenting patients to biospecimen collection protocols, as well as laboratory responsibilities of blood, tissue, fluid procurement, processing, and shipping. The CRC II will be trained on the institutional and federal regulations governing clinical research.Qualifications Principal Duties and Responsibilities:The following job duties will be performed under general supervision by the Clinical Research Manager:• Identify, approach, and consent patients for participation in research• Organize biospecimen collection from patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings (not actual phlebotomy)• Develop protocol specific flow charts, intake sheets, and other tools as needed to ensure protocol compliance and proper data acquisition• Collect and input data necessary for patient enrollment and registration• Maintain a central database (REDCap) of collected samples with appropriate clinical information (clinical demographics, clinical data)• Interact with other clinical and laboratory researchers at MGH and other institutions to coordinate analysis of collected samples• Requires going to biopsy procedures to help harvest tissue for research• Involves sample processing, shipping and banking• Coordinating with the lab for the delivery of samples• Interface in a professional manner with patients as well as a diverse team of physicians, clinical research assistants, nurses, and pathologists• Attend lab research and disease group team meetingsSkills/Abilities/Competencies Required• Careful attention to detail• Good organizational skills• Ability to follow directions• Good communication skills• Computer literacy• Working knowledge of clinical research protocols• Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needsEducation (Specify minimum education and clearly indicate if preferred or required)• BA/BS degree requiredExperience (Specify minimum creditable years of experience and clearly indicate if preferred or required)• NoneSupervisory Responsibilities (Specify number of FTEs supervised)• NoneWorking Conditions• Duties will primarily be performed in an ambulatory/clinical office settingAdditional Job Details (if applicable) Remote Type OnsiteWork Location 55 Fruit StreetScheduled Weekly Hours 40Employee Type RegularWork Shift Day (United States of America)Pay Range $23.80 - $34.81/HourlyGrade 5At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
