Research Assistant

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, under the direction of Dr. Marshall, has an opening for an organized, energetic and highly motivated full-time research assistant. The incumbent will provide research support for a number of faculty in the department with research needs, including being involved in helping set up research projects, doing data tracking and entry into databases, assisting with research-related administration, and supporting evaluation of data and publications of research projects. There may be the possibility of doing interviews with patients and families for ongoing quality assistance projects. There may also be the option to learn to use data visualization platforms to produce data reports for the division.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree (4 yr)/No Experience, OR AA (2 yr) and 2 years of relevant experience, OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • The position requires sufficient computer knowledge to interface with a variety of database, statistical, and imaging task and processing software.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectiveness in organizing tasks and setting priorities, multi-tasking, working efficiently with minimum oversight, interacting constructively with faculty and staff, and the ability to be adaptable, creative, and a quick learner are all necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral science field.
  • 1-3 years prior research and/or mental health systems experience.
  • Previous experience working with Redcap.
