Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist (RN) Ambulatory Services - NYC Staffing : Job Details

The Ambulatory Quality Nurse improves patient care and safety within the ambulatory setting by monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the quality of provided services. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices, conduct audits, analyze data, and develop performance improvement initiatives. Requires a strong understanding of ambulatory care regulations, quality metrics, and performance improvement methodologies. Ambulatory care experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities - Ambulatory Quality Nurse:

• Applies Performance Improvement (PI) methodology to enhance ambulatory care services.
• Stays current on quality trends and advancements in ambulatory care.
• Prepares and presents PI reports for committees and external benchmarking.
• Conducts focus studies to assess process stability, patient outcomes, and organizational goals.
• Investigate incidents, complaints, sentinel events, and citations; develops corrective actions.
• Participates in quality improvement projects, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepares variance reports for leadership, physicians, and staff.
• Elevate patient-specific issues and concerns to appropriate leadership and committees.
• Utilizes technology and databases for reporting, presentations, and documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualification:

• BSN nursing degree, required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse OR as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State OR current Licensed Registered Physician Assistant by New York State Department of Education, required.
• One-three (1-3) years clinical experience including general knowledge of QM principles, NYPORTS and JCAHO requirements.

Additional Salary Detail: The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). The salary range for this position is $85,090-$147,220/year.
