Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates an advanced level of professional competence in a specialized field of nursing. In this position, the CNS works collaboratively with Division and Service Area education, nursing, quality and other clinical leaders to impact care outcomes by providing expert consultation and supporting improvements in patient care delivery. Specifically, the CNS leads in the development of nursing practice that incorporates established national specialty practice guidelines, regulatory requirements, an interdisciplinary framework, outcomes from nursing and healthcare research, best practice changes in healthcare that impact patient care delivery; and advances in technology that support efficient and effective patient care. Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License or Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License or Upon hire: Montana Registered Nurse License or Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: Washington Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License or Upon hire: Oregon Advanced Practice - Clinical Nurse Specialist License or Upon hire: Montana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License or Upon hire: Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years experience in area of specialty

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Certification in area of specialty
  • 2 years Clinical Nurse Specialist experience

  • Montana: Except Great Falls: Min: $47.81, Max: $75.48
  • Montana: Great Falls: Min: $45.30, Max: $71.51
  • Oregon: Non-Portland Service Area: Min: $55.36, Max: $87.40
  • Oregon: Portland Service Area: Min: $59.39, Max: $93.75
  • Texas: Min: $45.30, Max: $71.51
  • Washington: Eastern: Min: $52.85, Max: $83.42
  • Washington: South Eastern: Min: $55.36, Max: $87.40
