Clinical Nurse III - Vascular and Interventional Radiology - Albany Medical Center : Job Details

Join our dynamic Vascular and Interventional Radiology team as a Clinical Nurse III! We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in our fast-paced VIR setting.

Department/Unit: VIR Nursing

Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer conscious sedation and manage critical care patients.
• Oversee phase 1 anesthesia recovery for pediatric and adult patients.
• Utilize and access central venous devices effectively.

Experience Requirements:

• Provide peri-procedural nursing care for both outpatient and inpatient Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and manage ventilated patients with expertise.
• Administer anesthesia and support patients' recovery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using and assessing central venous devices.

Desired Skills/Abilities:

• Critical Care experience with ACLS and/or PALS certifications is strongly preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and document treatments in compliance with all regulations.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests while assessing patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care.
• Guide and mentor ancillary staff, while ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree.
• Current Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is essential.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Telemetry or ICU is required.
• Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them in practice.
