Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionResponsible for clinical management of the Hospice Agency, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating delivery of patient care in the home setting. May assume primary supervisory responsibility for one or more clinical teams. Also provides administrative direction to development and evaluation of clinical and clerical personnel. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with corporate values. Works closely with Administrator and Agency Supervisor in assuring excellent in service to patients while maintaining regulatory compliance.RequirementsJob RequirementsQualifications:A licensed physician, physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, audiologist, social worker, or a registered nurse. Three to five years health related experience with one year of progressively responsible management experience in Home Care required.Bachelors or Masters degree in Health-related field preferred.Strong oral, written, analytical and organizational skills required. Excellent communication skills required.Through knowledge of current federal and state laws, regulations, certification requirements pertaining to Hospice required.Employee is required to sit, stand, and walk frequently; and to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Job requires occasional bending, kneeling, reaching forward and overhead, and lifting floor to waist to overhead. Procedures require use of both hands for grasping, pushing/pulling and fine manipulation; driving requires use of at least one foot.Working Conditions:Employee has significant impact on patient welfare. Effects of errors in determining patient condition and in guiding field staff response (generally through telephone contact) could be critical.Employee is occasionally exposed to temperatures changes, confinement to small areas, dust, noise, fumes, radiation and CRT terminal work.Position is rated a Category II for occasional potential exposure to infectious materials. Employee may be exposed to irate and abusive patients and families.Employee may be required to drive at night and/or hazardous conditions.Individual homes may present poor lighting situations, exposure to pets, and other allergens, pest infestations and poor cleanliness.Employee has regular contact with agency staff members, physicians, hospital or Medical Center staff, general public. Contact frequently involves problem resolution and/or persuasion of others.Employee regularly handles confidential information. (Occasional: 1-33%; Frequent; 34-66%; Continuous: 67-100%)The most significant of duties are included, but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties.
