Job Summary and Qualifications
You Will:
- Conduct accurate and timely laboratory testing by analyzing proficiency samples and completing assessments within the specified timeframe.
- Take on departmental responsibilities in the supervisor's absence.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation of patient results.
- Execute urgent procedures within established turnaround time targets.
- Utilize sound judgment and independent analysis for interpreting patient results, including delta checks.
- Address pending logs and result logs, ensuring that outstanding workloads are communicated effectively.
- Perform quality control procedures according to protocol while managing any problematic or critical laboratory specimens/test results.
You Should Have:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
- A valid State of Florida Technologist License (or the capability to obtain one during the interview process).
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas; a generalist licensure is highly favorable.
