Clinical Lab Scientist - Molecular Lab - Summit Health - Summit Medical Group : Job Details

The Molecular Clinical Lab Scientist will perform all job duties associated with infectious disease molecular testing on varies different molecular platforms. Employees are responsible for following all company policies and procedures. These policies and procedures will include adherence to regulatory standards such as CAP, CLIA, and OSHA, including safety standards in performing all aspects of the functions below. JOB DESCRIPTION - Knowledge of molecular principles and techniques. Follow the laboratorys procedures for specimen handling and processing and maintaining records of patient results. Demonstrates competency in reading manual testing such as the BD Affirm and the entering of results in LIS. Demonstrates competency in operating and maintaining instruments such as BD Max, Biofire, Roche 8800, Hologic Panther and BD Affirm.
