Clinical Lab Scientist - Loma Linda University Health : Job Details

The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), under general supervision, is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, result review and reporting of results. Each CLS only performs those tests for which they are authorized and have demonstrated the required skill commensurate with their education, training and technical abilities. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in the life sciences or an equivalent field of study required. Two years of experience working as a clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) in a complex medical laboratory preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of medical lab standard operating procedures, types of software used, and equipment. Ability to perform complex clinical lab tests and interpret and analyze data, to determine the clinical significance of test results.
