The Department of Family Sciences in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at the University of Kentucky seeks applications for a 12-month, Clinical Instructor in Child Life. The anticipated earliest start date is September 1, 2025.
Our new colleague will have academic training in family science, particularly human development and family relationship processes, with expertise in Child Life. Expectations are that this faculty member will oversee the current Child Life undergraduate certificate and lead the implementation of a new Accelerated Master's Program (AMP) in Child Life in collaboration with the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital (UKCH). Additionally, they will support the instructional needs of undergraduate majors and minors in Human Development and Family Science, provide collaborative supervision of Child Life master's students and their projects, participate in departmental and collegiate governance, and be the program liaison with the UKCH Child Life Specialists.

They should have a genuine interest in fostering a supportive and challenging learning environment that promotes high levels of student achievement. A proven record of undergraduate teaching excellence is required.
