The School's AACSBaccredited programs serve undergraduate and graduate learners.The department of Computer Information Systems inspiresundergraduate learners pursuing Computer Information Technologydegrees with concentrations in information communication andtechnology, dat analytics, and cyberescurity.The department also offers the MBA degree with concentrations ininformation systems and cybersecurity.Primary Purpose of Position The selected candidate will exhibit a desire to teach at theundergraduate level but may also be required to teach graduatecourses. Responsibilities include learner content development, delivery,engagement, and performance measurement.The Teaching Load is 4/4 for each Fall and Spring semester for a totalof eight (8) courses per academic year. Instruction may includesynchronous and asynchronous modalities. This is a non-tenure trackposition.The preferred candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in InformationTechnology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems,Computer Science or a related field from an AACSB accredited programor equally relevant accredited program in a related discipline.Candidates with a Masters degree and significant working experiencein the Cybersecurity area will be considered. Faculty will engagelearners in the study of organizational operations and performance.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Candidates must demonstrate currency in the discipline, effective oraland written communication skills, experience using instructionaltechnology, and sound technology knowledge.Successful candidates must have the ability to engage learners intheir teaching, demonstrate leadership, and to work collaboratively andcollegiately with multiple and diverse stakeholders.Minimum Education/Experience Preferred candidates should hold a doctoral degree in InformationTechnology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems,Computer Science or closely related discipline. Candidates holdinga master's degree must have a minimum of 18 credit hours in thediscipline and must also have significant, relevant professionalexperience. Professional discipline certification is desirable.Consideration will be given to candidates who meet criteria consistentwith the School's accreditation standards.
