Clinical Informatics Specialist Location: Onsite at our Corporate Office - Wilmington, NC (This is not a remote position) Schedule: Full-time, 40+ hours per week, Monday-Friday with occasional light travel as needed. What You'll Be Doing
- Serving as Tier 2 support for our clinical applications, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Acting as a project lead for clinical application initiatives-keeping tasks on track and deadlines met.
- Collaborating with clinicians, IT, and other departments to fine-tune workflows and create solutions that make life easier for end users.
- Supporting and maintaining our EMR workflows, templates, and documentation tools to align with hospice, palliative, and dementia care best practices.
- Participating in the full project lifecycle-planning, documenting, testing, go-live, and post-implementation review.
- Monitoring data exchange and system integration for smooth interoperability.
- Staying ahead of compliance needs by following established documentation and regulatory standards.
- Gathering feedback, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities to improve clinical workflows.
- Providing top-notch customer service to our end users-clear communication, quick resolutions, and a positive attitude.
- Keeping work organized and on schedule, with proactive updates on progress or issues.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Experience: 2-5 years in healthcare informatics, clinical systems support, or healthcare IT-Netsmart HomeCare experience is a bonus.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency with clinical applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and healthcare IT tools.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and medical terminology.
- People Skills: Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts into plain language, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Bonus Points: Healthcare informatics certification (CPHIMS, CHDA, or equivalent)-or the willingness to work toward one.
