We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Nursing Specialist to contribute to the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of our clinical and business information systems.
The Clinical Informatics Nursing Specialist plays a vital role by integrating nursing, computer, and information sciences, managing data and information for clinical practice. You will work closely with our Director of Informatics, assisting in transforming healthcare delivery and patient outcomes through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects that improve quality and patient care through advanced information technology.
- Stay updated on computer applications and patient safety innovations to inform system enhancements.
- Conduct workflow analyses to enhance the integration of technology in patient care.
- Collaborate with end users across the organization to drive system improvements.
- Co-lead user groups focusing on evaluating and enhancing system functionality.
- Work with various leadership roles to support innovative projects aimed at improving care.
- Identify ethical considerations in data management, ensuring confidentiality and safety.
- Provide training and technical support for system enhancements; develop super-users to assist others.
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure efficient care processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- 1-3 years of acute-care nursing experience.
- 1-3 years of experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation as a super user or project team member.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Certification as an Informatics Nurse Specialist is preferred within 1.5 years of hiring.
