Job Summary Specialized Clinical Educator will support clinical staff in the implementation of curriculum instruction and in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. They will demonstrate a commitment to the Gunderson program and a willingness to remain flexible. The Specialized Clinical Educator will maintain a commitment to professional growth and competency to exhibit positive behavior towards clients, parents, and staff. They will model appropriate social cues and milieu/group participation and facilitate clients to do the same. In addition, they will perform supervisory and technical duties as assigned and be responsive to issues presented in supervision. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: • Oversee implementation of academic work and behavior cueing within the milieu • Observe behaviors and make necessary interventions in order to maintain the safety of all clients and staff • Attend weekly staff meetings • Provide milieu supervision • Report any client incidents/concerns to Program Director, Clinical Director and/or the Milieu Manager • Interact with clients and family members in a courteous and professional manner • On-site skills coaching to dealt with 1. Suicidality 2. Self-injury 3.
