Position: Clinical Educator - Beacon Medical Group (BMG)Reports to: Director/Manager, BMG Administration Department Department: BMG Administration FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Various Beacon Medical Group sites Position Summary The Clinical Educator is responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical training programs for clinical staff within Beacon Medical Group (BMG), including but not limited to RN, LPN, CMA, RMA, CCMA, and CCA roles. This position ensures clinical staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide safe, high-quality patient care. The Educator collaborates with leadership and staff to assess learning needs, develops customized educational plans, and conducts both group and one-on-one instruction. The role also includes train-the-trainer sessions for lead clinical staff, serving as a subject matter expert and resource across the organization. Core Responsibilities Education & Training
  • Assess training needs across BMG sites and develop educational programs accordingly.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver clinical training for new hires and existing staff.
  • Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, evaluations, and competency assessments.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for lead clinical staff to support on-site training and skill validation.
  • Ensure all training meets regulatory and accreditation standards.
Program Administration
  • Prepare and maintain administrative materials such as attendance records, evaluations, competency checklists, and training summaries.
  • Monitor participant progress, provide feedback, and make recommendations to leadership regarding performance and follow-up training.
  • Oversee and administer learning systems including NetLearning and Mosby; serve as subject matter expert for specific program areas (e.g., EKG, DOT Regulated Medical Waste).
Compliance & Certification
  • Maintain and deliver training in CPR, TB, EKG, PPE, and other organizational or regulatory certifications.
  • Support infection control and safety protocols through regular staff education and validation of protective equipment use.
  • Stay current on best practices, regulatory requirements, and clinical advancements relevant to staff education.
Professional Development
  • Maintain active licensure and professional certifications (CPR Instructor, TB Validator, etc.).
  • Pursue continuing education, professional development, and active participation in relevant associations.
Organizational Contributions
  • Participate in department meetings and organization-wide initiatives.
  • Support performance improvement projects and policy development.
  • Serve as an educational liaison to other departments, physician groups, and community organizations as needed.

Qualifications Education & Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
  • Active Indiana RN license (required)
  • CPR Instructor and TB Validator certifications (required or obtainable upon hire)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
  • At least 2 years of experience in a staff education, training, or clinical instruction role
  • Experience in ambulatory care or multi-site training (preferred)
  • Certification in specialty area (preferred)
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and clinical education methods
  • Ability to teach diverse clinical audiences and adapt instruction for various learning styles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., NetLearning) and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to multiple Beacon Medical Group locations as needed
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Primarily classroom or on-site training environments at BMG locations
  • Requires mobility to travel between sites and stamina to teach standing for extended periods
  • May require lifting/moving equipment or demonstration of physical procedures
