On-the-job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains are equipping the next generation of care providers.We are passionate about serving and are honored to be a part of this incredible work.What Will you Do?As a Clinical Director of Pediatrics at Pine Rest, you'll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. The Clinical Director of Pediatrics is a member of the Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health (PCBH) leadership team, responsible for overseeing pediatric clinical service delivery with the goal of delivering high-quality treatment to child and adolescent patients throughout the Pine Rest continuum of care. The Clinical Director also works collaboratively to expand existing programs, and develop clinical, training, and research scopes of practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of pediatric behavioral health care experience, including effective clinical oversight skills, and a commitment to promote evidence-based practices.Our Clinical Director of Pediatrics are driven to make an impact in the lives of those we serve and are motivated by the healing they witness first-hand each day.   • Position consists of 20 hours dedicated to clinical work and 20 hours to administrative tasks.
  • Provide supervision and support to clinical managers to ensure best practices in treatment and care.
  • Support the Medical Director and pediatric subject matter experts in developing clinical programming tailored to the pediatric population.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices in pediatric behavioral health by staying informed about the latest research, evidence-based treatments, and standards of care.
  • Consult with local, state, and national programs, including site visits, to learn from their successes and challenges, integrating these insights into our clinical practices.
  • Maintain an active role in reviewing relevant literature, attending conferences, and participating in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge in pediatric behavioral health.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and leadership teams to ensure that programming recommendations are financially sound and sustainable.
  • Oversee pediatric-focused behavioral health training for clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with Quality Directors to establish quality metrics for pediatric patients.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and staff training to enhance skills and knowledge in pediatric behavioral health.
  • Participate in Joint Commission evaluations
  • Regularly review and update policies related to clinical practice, ensuring they are current and meaningful.
  • Participate in the development of clinical forms and coordinate changes to the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Maintain proficiency in legal and ethical issues surrounding clinical practice and provide consultation to managers and therapists on complex cases.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of financial operations and their impact on clinical care.
  • Professional development opportunities as appropriate to the role.
  • Serve on the PCBH leadership team and attend regular meetings and organization-wide leadership meetings.
  • Represent the PCBH by sitting on the Research Steering Committee and assist in seeking and writing grants.
  • Oversee the hiring and credentialing process, developing minimum hiring standards, and managing the credentialing process with HR.
What Does the Role Require?Education/Experience:
  • Advanced clinical degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other health related field and are credentialed to work with both children and adolescents.
  • Current licensure in a relevant clinical discipline.
  • Significant clinical experience in a wide range of ages and presentations for pediatric behavioral health care.
  • Expertise in best practices related to pediatric behavioral health.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and ethical issues in clinical practice and EMR systems.
