Empowered Staffing has partnered with a nationally recognized substance abuse treatment organization that is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to lead the operations at their 100-bed residential inpatient drug treatment facility located in Cambridge, Maryland.
The Clinical Director will make a meaningful impact on individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders by driving excellence in clinical programming and staff performance. You will oversee day-to-day clinical functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality client care, and a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all clinical operations of the residential inpatient substance use treatment program, ensuring services meet the highest standards of care and align with the organization's clinical model.
- Supervise and mentor a team of therapists, counselors, case managers, and support staff. Provide regular performance evaluations, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the execution of the clinical program roadmap, ensuring evidence-based practices and treatment modalities are implemented effectively.
- Promote client engagement and retention by maintaining a warm, recovery-focused atmosphere. Interact regularly with clients to assess their needs and build rapport.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Work closely with the Utilization Review team to optimize insurance authorizations and continued stay reviews.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements, Joint Commission standards, and all internal clinical policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field is strongly preferred.
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Certified (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a residential or inpatient behavioral health setting is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working with chemical dependency, dual-diagnosis, and co-occurring disorders in a clinical setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with clinical outcome measures.
