Job Title: Clinical Dietitian – Kidney Transplant Unit

Location: New York, NY

Assignment Type: Contract

Duration: 19 Weeks (October 6, 2025 – February 21, 2026)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Includes a 30-minute break)

Pay Rate:

• Local: $60/hour
• Traveler: $66/hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to support a kidney transplant department. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to patients pre- and post-kidney transplant. This role requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the nutritional status of kidney transplant patients using evidence-based protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and transplant coordinators to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding nutrition before and after transplant.
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in clinical nutrition.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential – Required.
• Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) in New York State – Required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), particularly in renal and transplant care.
• Ability to care for patients of all age groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in transplant or renal nutrition preferred.
