Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Consultant with expertise in ECMO or perfusion to join our team. This individual will be 100% customer-facing, responsible for clinical product evaluations, installations, and delivering training programs to customers across the U.S. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in ECMO/perfusion, organized, self-motivated, and passionate about quality improvement and clinical education.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical customer training for Spectrum Medical perfusion and ECMO-related products.
- Facilitate training sessions at Spectrum Medical experience centers and customer sites.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships within assigned regions.
- Create and lead simulation-based training programs for clinical staff.
- Support Sales and Marketing teams by providing ECMO and perfusion expertise.
- Represent the company at national and international medical conferences.
- Configure Spectrum products to customer specifications and ensure successful installations.
- Deliver on-site user training and ongoing customer support post-installation.
- Partner with the R&D team, offering clinical insights for product development.
- Collaborate on ECMO program quality improvement initiatives with hospital teams.
Qualifications:
- ECMO Coordinator, ECMO Specialist, or Perfusionist title required (ICU nurses must hold ECMO-specific titles; managerial or director-level ECMO experience is a plus).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of ECMO or perfusion experience in ICU, OR, or acute care.
- Prior involvement in quality improvement initiatives preferred.
- Master's degree in a related field helpful but not mandatory.
- Exceptional social, teaching, and interpersonal skills (customer-facing experience required).
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% nationwide.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area or Sacramento.
- Industry experience and familiarity with clinical product installations strongly preferred.
Compensation:
$125,000 - $150,000 annually
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
