CLINICAL ASSISTANT - ForrestHealth : Job Details

The Clinical Assistant is managed by the Patient Care Manager. Daily, this person will be under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Clinical Assistant participates in providing total direct patient care in a team approach, and must have the ability to work therapeutically in a community of emotionally and/or chemical dependent patients. Primary responsivities include: providing basic patient care and procedures, observing patients and maintaining patient safety, assisting patients with activities of daily living (both physical and emotional), recording vital signs, and meeting team objectives. The Clinical Assistant is also responsible for transporting patients to and from activities in a timely manner, and observing patients taking their medications and then documenting accordingly. This employee should demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
