Clinical Applications Specialist (REMOTE)

Role overview: Provide clinical training and support to customers, as a subject matter expert in dosimetry, on-site and/or remotely to ensure the customer is prepared to operate their equipment according to safe and effective use guidelines and to fully utilize the complex functionality of the technology to meet their business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive on-site or remote clinical applications training to strategic customers.
  • Ensure customers can operate Varian Medical System equipment safely and effectively.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to manage and exceed customer clinical expectations.
  • Align customer goals with the value of products and services to ensure satisfaction and continued adoption.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Installations, AOS/MDO, Applications, Education, and Service account teams; enhance teaming with strategic sales and service teams for a proactive customer experience; work with cross-functional teams to support and optimize customer relationships.
  • Develop customized and ongoing knowledge programs with customers, aligned with their goals and future product releases; manage customer advantage credits and multi-year advantage contracts.
  • Maintain key performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and product adoption.
  • Provide competitive product performance information to headquarters, marketing, or engineering groups; coordinate or lead customer and employee training courses and conduct presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows; provide demo support at local, regional, and national customer trade events; lead internal product meetings supporting multiple groups within Varian.
  • Perform other duties and functions to support customers or internal Varian employees as needed.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, And Travel
  • Travel required up to 75% of work weeks and occasional weekend travel
  • Excellent interpersonal and exemplary communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
  • Able to work independently and complete all deliverables on-time
  • Enthusiastic learner who is eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts
  • Adaptable, positive, and open to new ideas and/or situations
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative
  • Clinical understanding of the processes in a Radiation Oncology Department
  • Valid Passport Required; Able to travel internationally if requested
  • Residence in the Southeast region (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida)
Other Desired Skills And Knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the clinic.
  • Meets vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, which may include: proof of valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and other items as requested by clinical sites.
