Job Summary Our client company is seeking a patient-focused Medical Assistant, LPN, or EMT-B to support their Family Practice or Pediatric care team in a clinic setting. The role involves direct patient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, administering medications, and supporting clinical procedures. This is a hands-on position offering a consistent schedule, collaborative environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' care experiences.
Responsibilities / Job Duties - Escort patients to exam rooms and document necessary visit information, including vitals (height, weight, blood pressure).
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed by clinicians or standing orders.
- Assist with in-clinic procedures such as EKGs, bladder scans, and ear lavages.
- Complete the standard rooming process: medication and immunization reconciliation, allergy review, pending refills, and patient questionnaires.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.
Education - Diploma or certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-B certification (Minnesota).
Qualifications - Medical Assistant diploma (accredited), or
- EMT-B license (MN), or
- LPN license (MN)
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
Experience - Previous experience in an outpatient or clinical setting preferred
- Comfortable assisting with minor procedures and direct patient care
Skills - Proficient in basic clinical tasks (vitals, injections, documentation)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with EMR systems a plus
Schedule / Shift - Family Practice Option: 0.6 FTE, ideally Monday/Wednesday/Friday; includes one evening shift per week (flexible on days)
- Pediatrics Option: 0.8 FTE, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; Wednesdays off
- Clinic Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
