Job Relationships Department: Laboratory Supervisor: Director of Laboratory Services, Clinic Laboratory Supervisor Supervises: None Job Summary The Phlebotomist position, under the direct supervision of the Clinic Laboratory Supervisor, obtains and prepares specimens for analysis and also performs various waived screening tests on neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Assists with lab supply inventory and various clerical duties. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative working relationship with patients, patients' families, medical staff, and interdepartmental and intra-departmental personnel.

Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $17.84-$25.18. This range reflects the base salary for this position. Key Accountabilities
- Obtains blood specimens using proper aseptic techniques, including venipunctures and fingersticks.
- Process specimens to prepare samples for laboratory testing.
- Ensures that specimen requirements are met at the time of collection and maintains specimen integrity.
- Performs quality control and instrument checks for the applicable waived screening tests.
- Performs clerical functions associated with the laboratory department.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification (or obtained within six months of hire, company paid)
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to receive and carry out directions
- Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program, preferred
- Previous experience or education in a health-related field, preferred
Schedule
- 32 hours per two-week pay period
- Thursday and Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
