Job Description:

The Client Solutions Director plays a critical leadership role in both client relationships and internal team operations. In addition to overseeing project strategy, execution, and client satisfaction, this position requires direct management of full-time team members—including responsibility for their deliverables, development, and performance.

You'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where creative marketing, PR, and production intersect. You must be confident in leading accounts independently, guiding team members across projects, and solving problems proactively. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and leads with both strategic clarity and empathy.

As a people manager, you will be expected to coach your team, give clear and constructive feedback, motivate them to perform at a high level, and help shape process improvements. You'll act as an internal advocate for your team while ensuring accountability and alignment with client expectations and company goals. Responsibilities

Client & Project Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Lead day-to-day execution of client projects and campaigns—from kickoff to delivery—with internal and external teams.
  • Translate client needs into actionable creative and production briefs, maintaining strategic alignment.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, and resources across multiple workstreams, flagging risks and providing proactive solutions.
  • Build and present decks, campaign recaps, and strategy documents that clearly communicate value and outcomes.
  • Represent the agency in external meetings, pitches, and check-ins with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.

Team & People Management

  • Directly manage full-time employees: assigning work, reviewing outputs, and holding the team accountable to quality and deadlines.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support for direct reports to promote individual and team growth.
  • Conduct performance check-ins, evaluations, and development planning in alignment with team and company goals.
  • Lead team meetings, facilitate clear communication across departments, and ensure alignment on project expectations.
  • Support capacity planning, resourcing, and internal workflow optimization across departments.
  • Drive a collaborative, respectful, and high-performance team culture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with creative, production, strategy, and influencer teams to ensure unified delivery of client work.
  • Coordinate with agency partners or freelancers when needed for campaign support or project overflow.
  • Uphold and champion internal processes that enhance communication and streamline production.

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand scopes of work.
  • Stay attuned to industry trends, emerging platforms, and cultural movements that inform content and marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives to improve team operations, culture, and client services.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience: over 7 years of experience working in a PR, creative, or marketing agency with hands-on experience managing integrated campaigns and clients. Minimum of 2 years of experience managing full-time employees, with responsibility for performance feedback, development, and coaching.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in managing teams, projects, and client deliverables with accountability and poise.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to clearly brief teams and present to clients.
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to translate client goals into actionable strategies while balancing executional detail and big-picture impact.
  • Project & Budget Management: Skilled in managing timelines, budgets, and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Tool Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Canva, AirTable, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Organizational Agility: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, evolving client priorities, and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • People Management: Experience in delivering direct feedback, performance coaching, and career development guidance.
  • Client-Facing Experience: Confident in leading meetings, resolving concerns, and building trust with both clients and collaborators.
  • Growth-Oriented: Eagerness to learn, improve processes, and contribute positively to team dynamics and company culture.
