We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic individual to join our front desk team as a Receptionist. This fast-paced and exciting opportunity plays a vital role in patient intake and client communications. As the first point in contact for our clients, you will help set the tone for their experience at the UWVC. Many clients may be stressed or emotional due to their pets condition, so a calm, empathetic, and professional demeanor is essential. This is a challenging yet rewarding support position in the hospital, with the potential to grow your career and communication skills. This position is full-time, 40 hours a week between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm, including every other weekend (either Saturday or Sunday). Join us!

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provides day-to-day operational support to medical work unit personnel
• Greets patients, schedules appointments, maintains calendars, schedules tests, and makes referrals according to instructions
• Provides support to the billing functions of UWVC
• Serves as front desk staff within a healthcare facility or clinic
• Provides operational phone support within an emergency medical facility
• Prepares documents for patient admissions and appointments
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of the reception and client waiting areas of the hospital
• Serves as a cashier, collecting and accurately recording all cash/credit transactions associated with a veterinary healthcare facility
• Receives, submits, and responds to inquiries according to established policies and procedures
