Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning practice. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations.

Premier financial planning practice looking for an on-site Client Service Specialist willing to get licensed and trained for Paraplanner (registered associate) to assist financial advisors at a high level. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements. The key areas of responsibility include financial planning, portfolio management, insurance, retirement plans management and client service.

Position Functions and Responsibilities:

Ø Answer and route incoming calls

Ø Greet guests upon arrival and extend hospitality

Ø Receive and distribute deliveries of mail & packages

Ø Log and process incoming mail & checks

Ø Coordinate and execute mailings and overnight mail

Ø Schedule and confirm client appointments

Ø Preparation of meeting agendas and applicable forms

Ø Follow up with clients on pending items or missing information

Ø Document clients contact interaction and calls

Ø Update client management system

Ø Prepare client correspondence and new business applications

Ø Follow up with home office on client related matters

Ø Address client inquiries by providing readily available and allowed information

Ø Serve as liaison for management with internal clients & vendors

Ø Oversee client experience from client's perspective

Ø Attend team meetings and marketing events as necessary

Ø Place outgoing client management calls

Ø Satisfy ongoing compliance and development training as assigned

Ø Participate in training new employees

Ø Oversee office aesthetics to ensure best presentation

Ø Assist marketing team with ad-hoc requests

Ø Preparation of ongoing financial planning deliverables

Ø Assisting with the client's implementation process

Ø Leveraging on web-based contact management system to monitor client issues

Ø Other duties assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

Ø Must have Series 7, and Series 65 or 66 (or able to obtain within four months)

Ø Life & Health insurance license (or able to obtain within six months)

Ø Minimum of 1-3 years of direct experience in financial services industry

Ø College degree but not required

Ø Strong communication and analytical skills

Ø Organizational and multi-tasking ability

Ø Tech-driven / savvy

Ø Good attitude with others

Ø Motivation for self-improvement

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm. Half-hour lunch break.

Compensation

Compensation commensurate with relevant experience. Group medical, dental, life & . 401K after one-year employment. Holidays and paid time off per company policy.
