Job Description

We are looking to add a Client Service Consultant to our Property Casualty team in Cedar Rapids, IA. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your potential, there really is no place like Holmes!

Essential Responsibilities
  • Attend insurance carrier meetings and independently lead client meetings, as required.
  • Manage accounts from start to finish; may support or be supported by other Client Service Specialists or Senior Consultants, especially for larger, complex accounts.
  • Collaborate on pre-renewal meetings for qualifying accounts and develop client opportunities.
  • Market renewal policies and negotiate with insurance underwriters. Review quotes for accuracy and prepare proposals for clients.
  • Ensure account and policy accuracy by verifying customer information and items received from carriers, including coverage schedules, policies, endorsements, and audits.
  • Prepare renewal documents and record them in the agency management system, including PSR, schedules, applications, experience mod worksheets, loss runs, and other relevant documents.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in customer service, underwriting, or risk management within the insurance industry.
  • Active state-specific Life & Health or Property & Casualty Insurance license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles, workflows, and agency systems to deliver excellent client service and ensure compliance.
