Overview

We are seeking a Client Reporting Associate to join our Boston office. This individual will take a leadership role within the Client Reporting team, act as a key liaison to the Client Service Team, and help design and implement efficient operational workflows and procedures. This role reports to a Principal within the Client Reporting Operations group and is part of a broader global Operations team.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. They should bring prior experience managing or overseeing operational functions and be ready to take a hands-on approach to daily tasks. Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in engaging with both internal stakeholders and external vendors are essential.

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and reconcile daily cash activity across client portfolios by coordinating with internal teams and third-party service providers
  • Ensure timely completion of reconciliations for cash and positions for assigned accounts and custodians
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between internal books and external records, including custodians and administrators
Monthly & Quarterly Client Reporting
  • Assist in gathering and inputting fund manager performance data into proprietary systems
  • Lead the production and review of monthly flash reports and quarterly client statements
  • Verify and reconcile client transactions and fund performance data against benchmarks; document exceptions for the Client Service Team
  • Troubleshoot issues related to report generation and ensure timely resolution
  • Support delivery of consolidated or legacy client reports by confirming data completeness and collaborating with internal teams
  • Assist in formatting and distributing custom client reporting materials
Ad hoc & Cross-Functional Support
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of reporting processes and portfolio management systems
  • Serve as a responsive, solutions-oriented contact for internal client teams on reporting questions
  • Evaluate and enhance existing reconciliation and data validation procedures
  • Identify and escalate any potential control gaps or operational risks

Note: Responsibilities may evolve over time based on business needs. Flexibility to work overtime may be required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be meticulous, self-motivated, and thrive in a high-performance environment.

Preferred Background
  • 12 years of experience in investment operations or a similar function
  • Bachelors degree in any discipline, with a strong academic record (GPA and standardized test scores considered)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • High level of attention to detail; experienced in handling and reviewing large datasets
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional and clear communicator
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently, but also thrives in team settings
  • Open to feedback and capable of giving and receiving constructive input
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
