Job DescriptionPosition Overview The Client Manager is part of the North America Client Service Team, supporting the sales team within the Client Group. This entails being a central point of contact for assigned clients of Schroder Investment Management North America Inc (SIMNA) and working closely with sales on prospecting and relationship management. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of all aspects of the client accounts, including but not limited to legal, operational, compliance, and general investment product related issues. This role is part of the Client Service Team within the Schroders Client Group. The ideal candidate will be a team player, focused on providing best-in-class client service, and completing and responding to client requests in a timely manner. ResponsibilitiesRelationship Management and Sales Support (60%)
  • Provide sales support throughout the sales cycle (prospecting, onboarding, offboarding).
  • Proactively manage and develop relationships with clients and colleagues at Schroders to effectively complete your job.
  • Attain a deeper understanding of the needs and requirements of current and prospective clients which will allow you to proactively shape and define the required service proposition for each key strategic client.
  • Work closely with our Client Lifecycle Management Team to onboard new accounts through the Global Institutional Client Take On (GICTO) process to ensure satisfactory and timely set up with a clear understanding of the servicing requirements for each account.
  • Keep well-versed in Schroders products and vehicles.
Inquiries from Clients (30%)
  • Managing inquiries alongside sales teams when issues arise pertaining to institutional clients.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to requests from clients.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all client issues and manage liaison with internal teams (i.e., portfolio management, operations, marketing, etc.) to resolve the issue(s).
Production of Client Reports / Client Service Administration (10%)
  • Preparation of accurate monthly/quarterly/annually and ad hoc reporting in a timely manner and/or by the stated deadline.
  • Enhance existing technical skills and participate in local/global firm initiatives to streamline processes and functions vital to servicing clients.
  • Coordination of presentation material ahead of client meetings.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial services (within a client-focused role).
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Experience working with a broad array of asset classes.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, including email correspondence. Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Responsible for planning own workload, typically against a backdrop of changing priorities and/or external events.
  • Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SalesForce.com.
Compensation Schroders offers a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $125,000 for this position (depending on experience). The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
