To learn more, please visit: Summary:American Benefits Group is seeking a seasoned Client Implementation Specialist to lead the onboarding of new clients across our suite of benefits administration services, including Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Commuter Benefits, COBRA, and Direct Billing. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless, compliant, and client-centered implementation experience. The ideal candidate brings deep subject matter expertise in IRS and federal regulations governing these benefits and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle implementation of new clients from contract execution through successful transition to ongoing support, ensuring all onboarding milestones are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.
- Participate in client implementation and sales calls, providing expert guidance on plan design, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.
- Interpret and apply IRS and federal regulations to ensure compliant plan building and administration across all benefit types.
- Gather and analyze plan design details, eligibility rules, and contribution structures; work with the plan set up analyst to have them translated into accurate system configurations.
- Project manage the onboarding process, maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Deliver customized client training on ABG's systems, portals, and administrative procedures.
- Ensure high responsiveness and follow-through, building trust with clients and brokers by consistently delivering on commitments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, IT, and Operations to resolve issues and ensure a smooth handoff to the ongoing support team.
- Maintain documentation including configuration guides, process flows, and client-specific implementation records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in benefits administration, with deep knowledge of COBRA, FSA, HRA, HSA, and related IRS regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in client onboarding, implementation, or project management within a TPA or benefits technology environment.
- Strong working knowledge of compliance requirements under IRS, ERISA, and COBRA.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision and accountability.
- Proficiency in benefits administration platforms and data systems.

The base salary range for this position is $52,000 $65,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.
