JOOPITER is a dynamic and innovative auction house that is seeking an experienced Client Accounting & Finance Manager to join our team and play a key role in managing our financial operations.

As the Client Accounting & Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of JOOPITER. Working closely with the executive team to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, implement and maintain internal controls, and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the company. The role will also support all buyer and seller transactional activity. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial management, accounting, and analytics.

What you get to do:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage the annual budget.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.
  • Develop and implement internal control procedures and regularly assess financial controls to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and analyze variances between actual results and budgeted/forecasted figures.
  • Manage all client account transactions for all sales and perform all relevant credit and pre-sales checks, in accordance with policies as revised and defined.
  • Receipting and reconciliation of daily bank transfers received, resolving any issues such as third-party payments, unidentified wires, and duplicate payments.
  • Chasing buyer payment after the conclusion of each sale.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Meeting US audit and other statutory requirements.
  • Financial oversight of all merchandise ordering and sales.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital and monitor cash flow projections.
  • Assist in evaluating the financial impact of business initiatives.
  • Drive the development of improved processes and policies to support financial discipline across the business.
  • Resolving Sales Tax adjustments and refunds as appropriate.
  • Manage all AP and AR for the business.
  • Process cancelled sales and after sale transactions.
  • Prepare and file required tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Support other general client service functions.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in financial management and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm demeanor, especially under pressure, with ability to handle difficult client situations
  • Understanding of global banking systems and foreign currency payments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
