- Serve as Accounting Clerk for State and Federal Programs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- Previous accounting and office experience
- AS400 experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Plans and implements Federal Program budgets
- Gather fiscal information for planning for upcoming fiscal year
- Set up initial budgets for State and Federal programs.
- Prepare documents for board approval prior to these funds being posted on the system.
- Distribute funds to school accounts after final approval of budgets.
- Calculate State and Federal personnel costs and benefits and ensure that appropriate accounts are maintained
- Monitors and documents fiscal compliance with State and Federal Programs
- Gather fiscal information for preparation of the Federal Program Applications and amendments
- Monitor and process all budget changes when State and Federal funds are moved from one account to another.
- Answer questions concerning legality of State and Federal expenditures
- Monitor State and Federal accounts at all locations with designated State and Federal Funds
- Works effectively with District and Department staff
- Complete and submit reports to Accounting, and other district level departments as needed
- Research and problem solve fiscal issues between district level departments
- Coordinate with Payroll and Personnel to assure correct payment of all personnel paid with Title I funds and SCE
- Prepare reports and do research as requested by the Director
- Work in conjunction with Accounting to assure accurate and complete reporting of expenditures to T.E.A.
- Maintain department budget, order books and supplies
- Works effectively with Campus staff and private school personnel
- Communicate with principals and secretaries on an ongoing basis so funds are spent appropriately and in a timely manner
- Review budget shortages with principals and secretaries and problem solve issues
