Position: Clerk (40 Hours per Week/12 Months) Safety & Security Overview: Cambridge is a vibrant and diverse city. The Opportunity: The Safety & Security Clerk will report directly to the Director of Safety & Security and will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Usage of Safety & Security computer programs: Genetec, S2 NetBox, Aspen, and Badge
  • Perform CRLS campus check-ins by screening, confirming appointments, ensuring identity and issuing visitor tags to all visitors
  • Efficiently, courteously and professionally assist any persons needing assistance or district information
  • Answer phones and forward calls and messages to appropriate parties as necessary
  • Dispatch all calls for service to the Safety Specialists via two-way radios.
  • Consistently monitor two-way radio activity
  • Monitor, retrieve and respond to all Safety & Security emails.
  • Type reports as needed
  • Process and scan incident, suspension, and investigative reports
  • When needed, ascertain incident/accident information and dispatch Safety Specialists for support
  • Process requisitions for supplies
  • Enter and retrieve student data into student information systems.
  • Record and maintain confidential information
  • Provide IDs and access for district staff and students
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Your Skill Set:
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Two years of job related experience
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with Aspen database system and Genetec is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school-wide personnel
  • Must have multi-tasking and prioritization abilities
  • Must be reliable, dependable and be able to work in a team environment
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Accurately obtain vital information
