Position Summary The Information Desk Clerk provides reception duties and greets patients, visitors, vendors and sales representatives. Core Responsibilities • Promptly greets and appropriately directs patients/visitors/guests. • Demonstrates courteous, polite, friendly and cooperative behavior towards patients, visitors and guests. • Answers visitors questions in a warm and friendly manner • Demonstrates knowledge of facility. • Able to utilize computer terminal to access patient information. • Provides information to visitors of the scheduled daily events. • Coordinates wheelchair accessibility with Patient Transportation. • Properly hands out passes to outpatients, visitors, sales representative and vendors. • Able to give proper directions to visitor within as well as those traveling to the hospital. • Able to handle all patient' restriction to visitors and telephone callers. • Responsible for reading announcements and memos at each shift Minimum Requirements • High School Degree or GED; or equivalent experience • 1 years experience in office/secreterial in medical setting • Customer Service Experience • Computer knowledge Salary Range - $15.91 - $22.50 hourly Additional information • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
