DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this role, you will be part of a clerical staff responsible for processing claims for winning tickets received by the PA Lottery and providing assistance regarding the claims process. You will serve as the unit's lead worker, which involves planning and assigning work assignments in order to meet deadlines and priorities, providing training to new employees in the section, and proofreading completed assignments to ensure accuracy. Your responsibilities will involve reviewing information to verify that lottery claims are valid and to be paid, composing letters and forms related to claims, and determining when to escalate issues to a supervisor. This includes receiving and responding to a wide variety of phone calls and emails regarding PA Lottery claims and games, referencing prescribed guidelines and manuals to resolve various issues, and providing information and solutions to assist customers.
