Description Of WorkThe Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical support to the Nursing Department of the Delaware Valley Veterans Home. Responsibilities include creating and preparing nursing schedules in an effort to meet the demands of the facility, while ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, standards of conduct and union equalization issues. At the direction of the DON or ADON, assign/reassign staff to maximize care levels within the clinical treatment areas, individual/patient care wards, and living areas. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule And Additional InformationFull-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). Required Experience, Training & Eligibility QualificationsMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
