Opportunity:

Virtual Service Operations is currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to support a high-priority cloud initiative. This hybrid position, based in Columbia, MD, offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud architectures supporting cyber missions and multi-network fabric environments. The architect will assist in building and refactoring cloud solutions, with a focus on landing zones and cloud program accreditation for classified systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and refactor solutions to operate across multiple network fabrics.
• Build and maintain cloud landing zones aligned with DoD cloud accreditation requirements.
• Support cloud infrastructure design and integration for cyber mission systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current systems and recommend enhancements.
• Implement and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines within secure cloud environments.
• Contribute to the development and deployment of CDS (Cross Domain Solutions).

Requirements:

• 7–9 years of experience in cloud architecture or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, implementation, or consulting of distributed applications.
• Must be able to work 50% onsite in Columbia, MD.
• Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Proficiency with tools and services including: AWS CDK, Apache NiFi (cluster configuration), AWS Lambda / Step Functions, ETL processes / Data analysis tools, and CDS solutions.
• Experience working with DoD classified systems is strongly preferred.
