Job Title: Cleaning Associate

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.

Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Availability: Nights and Weekends

Essential Duties:
  • Follow department procedures to standardize cleaning practices at the store.
  • Adhere to the cleaning department's work schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through cleaning practices.
  • Familiar with the MSDS sheets of cleaning chemicals.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established procedures.
  • Replenish restroom dispensers.
  • Shampoo carpets when requested.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe store furniture, arcades, and equipment; sweep, mop, vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Use and maintain cleaning equipment and hand tools such as scrubbers, extractors, washers, brooms, mops, and squeegees.
  • Wash walls and glass surfaces; use ladders as needed.
  • Follow instructions for chemical and supply use.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as needed.
  • Wash interior and exterior windows accessible to reach.
  • Launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
  • Stay informed on company policies and procedures related to the Facility Department.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Regional Cleaning Specialist.
    • Non-Essential Duties:
  • Conduct alcohol and age restriction controls per company policies.
  • Manage lost and found procedures.
  • Seek continuous improvement in work processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Qualifications:
    • Six months to one year experience in bowling, entertainment, retail, or hospitality environments.
    • Experience in cleaning, preferably in a bowling or game center.
    • Customer service experience with strong verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
    • Previous experience in retail, restaurant, or customer service is required.
    Work Environment:

    Work is performed in a bowling center/arcade environment with high noise, dust, and activity levels. The environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    Requires bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, and mobility in small spaces. Standing and walking for extended periods without breaks during busy times. Ability to handle, feel, reach with hands and arms. Lifting/moving up to 100 lbs with assistance.
