The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks to hire a Claims Processor within Human Capital's Unemployment Insurance Unit. The Unemployment Insurance Unit is a cost avoidance unit that is responsible for all unemployment insurance matters for all Mayoral agencies within the City of New York. The Unemployment Insurance Unit is responsible for answering all UI claims and inquiries, attending Unemployment Insurance Hearings, and appealing all unwarranted charges against the City's account. The Unemployment Insurance (UI) unit seeks to hire one (1) Claims Processor to support the UI Administrative Manager. With latitude to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, the selected candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
