Civil Superintendent - Navigate Search : Job Details

About the Role: This role involves managing field operations on complex infrastructure projects across the Bay Area, with occasional travel as needed (approximately 10-20%).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations for underground utility installation and demolition projects
• Manage field crews, subcontractors, and site logistics to ensure efficient project execution
• Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and project specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to maintain project timelines and budgets
• Conduct regular inspections, identify and resolve field issues, and maintain quality standards
• Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, equipment logs, and incident documentation
• Lead by example to promote a safety-first, team-oriented work culture

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically underground utilities (storm, sewer, water) and/or demolition
• Proven track record of successfully leading field operations on complex projects
• Strong understanding of excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, and demolition best practices
• Skilled in reading blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings
• Effective communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• OSHA certifications preferred; additional safety or supervisory training a plus
• Willingness to travel regionally as project demands require
