Civil Project Manager - ZipRecruiter : Job Details

As a Civil Project Manager at Gessner Engineering, you will perform and oversee engineering design, manage clients, and lead a team of engineers on a variety of projects.

• Coordinate project needs internally and externally
• Manage time, budget, and resources effectively
• Guide the team in designing and analyzing projects including residential, commercial, higher education, and public infrastructure
• Prepare and oversee the production of construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and other engineering reports
• Conduct site visits for forensic and as-built data collection and perform construction administration duties
• Collaborate with department members, geotechnical, structural, construction materials testing teams, external sub-consultants, and clients for project coordination
• Hold EITs and PEs accountable for quality and timely delivery of work
• Assign projects to Design Leads or Project Engineers
• Review timesheets and expenses of direct reports
• Develop leadership skills within the team
• Perform QA/QC on designs and documents according to experience level
• Review and seal projects as appropriate
• Generate proposals and invoices
• Communicate and coordinate with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ)

• Education/Licensure: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering; PE licensed in Texas

• Experience: 5-10 years of engineering experience including project management; comprehensive knowledge of site development, municipal infrastructure, erosion control, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, domestic water, and grading design

• Skills: Solution-oriented, collaborative attitude, proactive learning, proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PondPack, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Autodesk SSA, Flowmaster, EPANET, and WaterCAD
