Job Description
As a Civil Project Manager at Gessner Engineering, you will perform and oversee engineering design and manage clients and a team of engineers on a variety of projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate project needs internally and externally.Manage time, budget, and resources effectively.Perform, oversee, and guide the team in design and analysis for projects including residential, commercial, higher education, and public infrastructure.Prepare and oversee the production of construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and other engineering reports.Conduct site visits to collect forensic and as-built data; perform construction administration duties.Collaborate with department members, geotechnical, structural, construction materials testing disciplines, external sub-consultants, and clients for project coordination.Hold a team of EITs and PEs accountable for quality and timeliness of deliverables.Assign projects to Design Leads or Project Engineers.Review timesheets and expenses of direct reports.Develop leadership skills of direct reports.Perform QA/QC of designs and documents according to experience.Review and seal projects within their experience level.Generate proposals and invoicing.Communicate and coordinate with consultants and AHJ.Qualifications
- Education/Licensure
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Texas.
- Experience
- 5-10 years of engineering experience, including project management.
- Experience in site development, land development, municipal infrastructure, erosion control, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, domestic water, and grading designs.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PondPack, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Autodesk SSA, Flowmaster, EPANET, and WaterCAD.
