Civil Litigation Attorney Remote (CA Bar) - Crawford Thomas Recruiting : Job Details

Our client is seeking are looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney, licensed to practice in CA, handling a caseload of consumer protection & employment law plaintiff cases.

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters including but not limited to employment law, consumer protection statutes, lemon law, personal injury, wrongful termination, etc.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents.
• Perform legal research and analyze cases and statutes relevant to issues in case.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and assist with mediation/arbitration where applicable.
• Prepare for trial: organize evidence, prepare exhibits, assist in deposition prep and take depositions, draft trial memoranda.
• Interact with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and co-counsel. Provide excellent client communication and explain complex legal issues in understandable terms.
• Collaborate with firm partners and other associates on strategy, case management, and firm best practices.

• 3-5 years of substantial litigation experience (civil litigation, employment law, consumer protection law, class actions, etc.).
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with motion practice, depositions, discovery, trial preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, work independently, and remotely.
• Familiarity with statutes such as TCPA, FDCPA, UCL, privacy and recording laws, employment discrimination, etc., is preferred.
