We are seeking a Civil/Highway Group Lead to provide inspirational leadership to a team of engineers who are working on some of New York's most challenging and fast-paced infrastructure projects. The staff you will guide will be focused on highway and urban street design, civil site layout, grading and drainage design, utility design, and work zone traffic control design. As a senior member of our team, you'll play an integral role in recruiting and mentoring staff to cultivate a high-performance team, forming long-term relationships with clients and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts. We'll look to your expertise and skills to provide effective program and project management support to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and add value to the business by applying proven project management techniques. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $240,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Here's what you'll need: Degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY Experience leading and delivering $50M transportation infrastructure projects Civil/Highway design experience on design-build projects, preferably in New York Experience in management and coordination of transportation infrastructure projects including design, resourcing, budgeting, documentation, and project management Strong relationships with NYC metropolitan area agencies, including MTA, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NYSDOT, and PANYNJ as well as major contractors Experience leading, managing, and developing a team of civil/highway engineers Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment and promote a culture of collaboration Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads/InRoads At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
