Civil Engineer -Parsippany, NJ - Nucor Corporation : Job Details

Civil Engineer is a key position within the organization reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor. The Civil Engineer is responsible for performing engineering designs (deep foundations, bulkhead walls, and support of excavation), material takeoffs, and shop drawings in support of Nucor Skylines customers. These projects are located throughout North America and US territories. This position is based out of the Engineering office in Parsippany, NJ. Basic Functions - Integrate project information from multiple sources geotechnical reports, construction plans, design codes, verbal discussions- into industry standard design recommendations, material takeoffs, and shop drawings. - Consult with contractors and engineers in real time to trouble shoot construction projects using Nucor Skyline products. - Read and interpret plans from state agencies and private owners. - Embrace live discussions based on mathematical concepts.
