Civil Engineer - The Axel Group, LLC : Job Details

The Axel Group is partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm in the Greater Philadelphia region to hire a Civil Engineer for their growing Land Development team.

What You'll Do:

• Design site layouts, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, utilities, and more.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, stormwater reports, calculations, and cost estimates in accordance with local standards and regulations.
• Coordinate project design requirements with internal staff, external departments, and subconsultants.
• Review your own work and that of others to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards.
• Interface with municipal, county, and state officials, including planning boards, water/street departments, PADEP, PennDOT, County Conservation Districts, and others.
• Maintain thorough project records, including correspondence, permits, design documentation, and construction-phase records.
• Monitor project budgets and collaborate closely with project managers.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification with 4–5 years of land development experience required; PE preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and adaptability to embrace new challenges and technologies.
