Civil Engineer II - Capital Projects - City of Lacey, WA : Job Details

BASIC PURPOSE Reporting to an Engineering Manager in the Public Works Department, the Civil Engineer II performs professional-level and technically complex civil engineering work in connection with a variety of Public Works projects. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, duties such as analyzing, researching, planning, and designing of municipal structures and systems; reviewing development plans, and/or leading Civil Engineer Is or technical support staff in projects and work assignments; and reviewing and stamping work performed by unlicensed engineers. May be assigned to supervise temporary or seasonal positions within assigned section. The Civil Engineer II classification is distinguished from Civil Engineer I due to professional engineer license requirement and work assignments of managing more technically complex design projects, and performance of responsibilities including reviewing and stamping work of unlicensed engineers.
